An official Russian plane arrived in the US on a secret mission

A Russian Il-96 aircraft belonging to the state special flight squadron "Russia" has arrived in the United States. This aircraft is used by the Kremlin for transporting its official representatives to other countries.

Why did Russian officials fly to Washington?
According to the Flightradar flight tracking service, this plane with the code RA-96023 visited the cities of Washington and New York and returned to Russia on December 30, after several days of staying and flying over the territory of the United States.
The reason for the visit and the person who made the flight remain unknown. However, some analysts are already linking this to the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine and the beginning of Donald Trump's next term in January.
In early December, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump suggested that Ukraine should expect a reduction in U.S. military aid.
Trump has also recently named a timeframe for the full restoration of Ukrainian cities destroyed by the war. According to him, this will take a century.
