Day of Unity in Philadelphia

On Wednesday, January 22, 30 Ukrainians living in the United States gathered in Philadelphia's Independence Square to celebrate Ukraine's Unity Day. They brought Ukrainian flags and posters showing the distances from their cities of residence to their hometowns in Ukraine.

"These posters will become a symbol of connection that transcends all borders. Posters with the names of different cities. Because the Day of Unity is about the unity of our country, both West and East. And in today's realities, it's also about the unity of Ukrainians abroad," said one of the participants of the action.

"Distance does not matter. Unity does," the participants say.
