Role of Europe in negotiations with Russia — Zelenskyy
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that Europe should be at the negotiating table when the time comes. This is necessary in order to have a long-lasting peace, not a temporary ceasefire.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this via his Telegram.
What is the role of Europe in the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine
"Europe should be at the negotiating table when the time comes. Like Ukraine, the EU should start negotiations from a strong position, and Europe's strength is in unity," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He added that Ukraine needs coordinated work for a long-lasting peace, and not just a suspension of hostilities, which Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will use for gaining time. The President is convinced that we must push Moscow towards a real, sustainable and guaranteed peace.
"We all understand that in January, President Trump will increase efforts aimed at ending the war. It depends on us whether Europe will support him with a strong, united voice," the Head of State emphasized.
It should be recalled that Putin has recently issued an ultimatum of signing peace to Zelenskyy. The dictator demands that the Ukrainian President run for election and "gain legitimacy".
At the same time, Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Mykhailo Podoliak announced the conditions for ending the war in 2025. It must necessarily move to the territory of Russia.
