Zelenskyy appointed Commissioner for Military Rights
On Monday, December 30, President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed a commissioner for the protection of the rights of servicemen and their families — the well-known human rights activist Olha Reshetylova (Kobylynska).
Zelenskyy reported this on Telegram.
Commissioner for the protection of the rights of military personnel
"I signed a decree on the appointment of Olha Reshetylova (Kobylynska) as the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the protection of the rights of servicemen and members of the families of our soldiers," the message says.
The President noted that Olha is a well-known, experienced and effective Ukrainian human rights activist who has already done a lot to build state institutions and support Ukrainians.
He named the main task — together with the Ministry of Defense and civil society, to prepare a draft law and all the necessary systemic foundations for the work of this institution.
"Our soldiers must receive effective tools for protection of our rights, and there must be a real modernization of human resources management in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I am grateful to everyone who helps this," Zelenskyy added.
It should be recalled that Zelenskyy appointed a new permanent representative to the UN office. This position will be headed by Yevhen Tsymbalyuk.
The President also dismissed Ukrainian ambassadors in a number of countries. These are China, Japan, Slovenia, Lithuania, Kenya and Rwanda, as well as representatives to the UN.
