Zelenskyy signed the law on the work of the MSEC

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law that improves the work of the medical and social examination. The Head of State signed the document on November 18. The law includes a number of changes to the work of the MSEC.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy supported changes in the work of the medical and social examination. On Monday, November 18, he signed the relevant law.

As stated in the explanatory note to the bill, it includes changes to some procedures for passing a medical and social examination. In particular, it is proposed to eliminate the obligation of a person to undergo a medical examination at the MSEC, and the right to determine the form of participation in the meeting — in person or online.

"The proposed changes will "unlock" the possibilities of digitizing the patient's route (both civilian and military), will remove the financial, time and physical burden from patients who have to spend their health, money and time on travel (getting to the place of the MSEC meeting and returning home or to the place of deployment of the military unit), waiting in queues," the explanatory note says.

In addition, the new law includes the entering the information on the results of the MSEC in the electronic health care system. This should simplify doctors' access to data and speed up decision-making.

It should be reminded that Ukraine plans to reform the MSEC. Corruption scandals related to the activities of the commissions prompted the authorities to take such a step.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a resolution that defines a new procedure for conducting assessments and replaces the process of medical and social expertise. It became known how everything will change for conscripts.
