Zelenskyy summed up the results of meetings with partners in Europe — an evening speech
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented his Victory Plan to European leaders, that are Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron, Giorgia Meloni and Olaf Scholz.
The head of state announced this during an evening speech on Friday, October 11.
Zelenskyy's evening speech
"It is an important week of meetings with our friends in Europe — the largest defense donors and the strategic region of the Balkans and Southeast Europe in general," the President said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Germany is the undisputed leader in providing Ukraine with modern air defense equipment. He noted that Chancellor Scholz announced a new military aid package today.
The President of Ukraine stated that the Ukrainian delegation in London explained which long-range weapons are necessary for the Ukrainian military.
"Now, we will work by teams with our partners in Europe to fulfill each planned step as much as possible, and this plan should lead to an effective second Peace Summit, so that the war ends. And so that it will be a fair, honest end to the war," the report stated.
The President also said that yesterday it became known about the death of Ukrainian journalist Victoria Roshchyna in Russian captivity.
"My condolences to the relatives. She was on the lists for exchange," the head of state added.
Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz. This is already his third meeting with the German leader during the fall and, perhaps, one of the key ones.
It should be recalled that Zelenskyy met with Pope Francis in the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican. The Head of State discussed with the Pontiff the issue of the return to the Motherland of Ukrainians captured by the Russian invaders.
