Terrorist attack in Olenivka — new details
On the eve of the terrorist attack in Olenivka, Russian engineers planted explosives on the roof of a colony where "Azov" fighters were held captive.
Senior Sergeant Valerii Horishnii, who returned from captivity a month ago, said that he had spoken with one of the "Azov" fighters who was injured in the terrorist attack. He said that on the eve of the terrorist attack, the Russians, in addition to explosives, also laid something resembling grease on the roof — probably to improve the spread of fire throughout the colony.
"He personally and other guys witnessed that on the day they were transferred to that barracks, engineers climbed on the roof and planted some explosives or something there," the soldier said.
It should be recalled that on July 29, 2022, explosions were heard in a colony in the occupied city of Olenivka, Donetsk region, where the Russians were holding Ukrainian prisoners of war. The occupiers said that the strike was carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with HIMARS.
Previously, Novyny.LIVE wrote that on the second anniversary of the terrorist attack in Olenivka, Ukrainian and American activists gathered in New York, Washington, Seattle, Chicago and Los Angeles for a memorial event. It has been officially confirmed that at least 53 imprisoned Ukrainian defenders of "Azovstal" died in Olenivka.
