Matthew Leavensberger, who is suspected of organizing the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck near Donald Trump's hotel in Las Vegas, asked ChatGPT where to buy explosive materials. He also asked the chatbot how to assemble it and what to do to make it explode.

This was reported by NBC News on Wednesday, January 8.

Local police said that this is likely the first known case in the United States where a person has used artificial intelligence to make explosives.

"We know that artificial intelligence is going to be a game changer for all of us, in fact, in all of our lives, sooner or later," said Clark County/Las Vegas Police Sheriff Kevin McMahill.

Last week, Las Vegas police identified Leavensberger as a suspect in the bombing. According to police, he died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities said they were able to identify his badly burned body through various means, including family DNA and tattoos.
