President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz. They discussed defense policy and, in particular, the supply of additional air defense systems.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this via Telegram on Wednesday, November 13.

Zelenskyy's conversation with Scholz

Zelenskyy claimed that one of the topics during the conversation with the German Chancellor was the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine next year.

The Head of State emphasized that Scholz confirmed that the sixth planned IRIS-T air defense system will arrive in Ukraine by the end of this year.

"We coordinated the steps necessary to ensure the best defense and political support for Ukraine. We agreed on the importance of maintaining the Ramstein format and holding the next meeting of the coordination group," the President wrote.

According to Zelenskyy, he also emphasized the need to present Ukraine's vision for a fair peace at the G20 summit in Brazil.

The President thanked the German Chancellor for the large-scale bilateral defense assistance and their country's leadership in consolidating the efforts of partners to support Ukraine.

As a reminder, the administration of Joe Biden will strengthen support for Ukraine before the inauguration of Donald Trump.

Previously, Ukraine is working on obtaining new defense packages from international partners, in particular, from France, the United States, Canada, and Lithuania.
