Russian strike on Sumy — death toll rises to 10
On Sunday evening, November 17, the Russian Federation launched a ballistic missile attack near a multi-storey residential building in Sumy. The attack has already killed 10 people, including two children.

The State Emergency Service (SES) said that as of 11:05 p.m., it is known that 10 people, including two children, were killed as a result of a Russian missile attack on a residential building. In addition, another 51 people were injured, including five children.
"Rescuers and all necessary services continue to work at the scene of the tragedy. More than 400 residents have been evacuated from the damaged buildings. A point of invincibiity of the State Emergency Service has been deployed. SES psychologists are providing assistance to the victims", the statement reads.
In addition, the attack damaged the windows of six ten-story buildings and destroyed four cars.
We are currently conducting a door-to-door inspection of all the damaged buildings to check every nook and cranny and find the victims.
As a reminder, on the night of November 17, the Russian military launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine. The enemy attacked critical infrastructure facilities with missiles of various types of air, land, and sea-based missiles, as well as attack drones. Air defense forces were able to shoot down most of the targets.
