A military helicopter crashed in the city of Isparta, Turkey. As a result, military personnel died, another one is being searched for.

This was reported by the governor of the region, Abdullah Erin, in a comment to the NTV channel on Monday, December 9.

Currently, ambulance crews and firefighters are working at the scene of the accident. The military helicopter crashed during a training flight.

It is known that five soldiers were on board, including a brigadier general.

Later, it was reported that six people died as a result of the incident, including the commander of the Isparta Army Aviation School, Brigadier General Isa Baydilli.

"One of our UH-1 helicopters, which was performing a training flight in Isparta, crashed, and five of our personnel died. May God have mercy on our martyrs, we offer our condolences to their families and our Turkish Armed Forces, and we wish a speedy recovery to our injured personnel," the Ministry of National Defense said in a statement.

It should be recalled that on November 25, a Boeing 737 cargo plane crashed in Vilnius. As a result, there were injuries and one death.

Eyewitnesses also managed to record the moment when the plane crashed.
