Before voting, Zheleznyak spoke from the tribune and criticized his work. In particular, he emphasized that during Kostin's term, pressure on business increased significantly. Zheleznyak also noted that Kostin supported an increase in prosecutors' salaries and did not take any measures in response to scandals related to employees of the prosecutor's office. In addition, the MP stated that he "completely transferred the management of the prosecutor's office to Bankova".

On October 22, Andriy Kostin resigned after scandals related to medical and social expert commissions.

In addition, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said that a replacement for the Prosecutor General has not been found yet.
