California wildfires leave dead and dozens injured

At least two people have been killed by wildfires in California. Dozens more were injured. About 30,000 residents of the state had to flee the areas affected by the fire.

The flames engulfed a prestigious suburb of Los Angeles, home to many Hollywood stars. People are fleeing not only by car but also on foot. Among those who have been forced to leave is actor Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movie epic. Hamill is a great friend of Ukraine. The fire situation is complicated by dry weather and strong winds. Rescuers are working to eliminate the fire.
As a reminder, a fire broke out in the US state of California in Pacific Palisades, where the homes of famous people are located. According to the National Weather Service, this fire could be the worst in Southern California in the last ten years.
We also reported that author James Woods left his estate because of the fire. On social media, the man wrote that losing everything in an instant is a big challenge.
