Trump hints at what he's going to do with TikTok
President-elect Donald Trump has hinted that he sees no reason to abandon the TikTok platform. He considers this resource to be an influential tool for disseminating information.
He published the relevant post on his X (Twitter) account, which duplicates posts from Trump's own social network, Truth Social.
Trump is not against TikTok
Donald Trump published a table of the results of his TikTok content as of early January 2025. It shows that the content has received tens of billions of views and that his accounts are many times ahead of his rival in the election, Kamala Harris. Trump also managed to outperform pop stars like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.
"Why would I think about giving up TikTok?" the president-elect commented rhetorically.
Earlier, we wrote that Trump had filed a request with the Supreme Court to postpone the law requiring the Chinese company ByteDance to sell TikTok.
In March, a bill to ban TikTok was put to a vote in the United States, which caused a mixed reaction among government officials.
