On Monday, December 30, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with the new Syrian leader Ahmed al-Shara'a. The talks took place in Damascus.

As a reminder, on December 8, Syrian state television reported the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. Thousands of citizens began to return to Syria.
Subsequently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine had donated 500 tons of wheat flour to Syria. This assistance was provided as part of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program. The flour will be distributed to 33,250 families, which is approximately 167,000 people. A 15-kilogram portion is enough to feed a family of five for a month.
