Sweden and Estonia made statements on Ukraine's Victory Plan — exclusive video
Sweden supports Ukraine's Victory Plan and its future membership in NATO. However, joining the Alliance is not yet on the agenda.
This was stated by Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson, according to Novyny.LIVE.
Sweden's position
"Ukraine is on an irreversible path to full NATO membership, which is very important. We have a lot to learn from Ukraine when it comes to defense innovation. Armed Forces of Ukraine are also strong," said the Swedish Defense Minister.
However, according to him, Ukraine's accession to the Alliance "is not yet the right time, as the country is at war."
Jonson added that the Victory Plan would be discussed at the evening meeting in Brussels.
Estonia's position
At a press conference in Brussels, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said he plans to discuss the details of the Victory Plan with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
He expressed hope that the Victory Plan will be implemented not only on paper, but also in real actions.
"I hope that we will be able to increase and accelerate assistance to Ukraine," Pevkur said.
As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has left for Brussels to participate in a special meeting of the European Council at the level of country leaders. There, the head of state will present the Victory Plan.
According to Zelenskyy, if the partners support the Victory Plan, Ukraine can end the war no later than next year.
