Shmyhal revealed how much was spent on the third line of defense

In 2024, the government allocated billions of hryvnias to the creation and construction of fortifications in the third line of defense. Almost 950 medical facilities were also fully or partially restored.
This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Congress of Regional and Local Authorities in Lviv on Tuesday, December 17.
How much was spent on the line of defense
According to Shmyhal, this year, more than 37 billion hryvnias were allocated to the creation and construction of fortifications in the third line of defense.
He also noted that during the full-scale war, almost 950 medical facilities were fully or partially restored.
"The largest number is in Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions. Next year, we plan to spend over 175 billion hryvnias on this program," the head of government said.
The Prime Minister added that the government will allocate 5.6 billion hryvnias to modernize medical institutions in 2025.
Previously, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the "Affordable Medicines" program will operate in every pharmacy of the country. Every citizen can use it.
The head of government also emphasized that the resource of local budgets next year should become larger. An increase to 328 billion hryvnias is expected.
