Russians shot five Ukrainian prisoners of war near Vuhledar
The occupiers shot five captured soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Vuhledar. An investigation has been started on this fact.

As noted by the Prosecutor General's Office, on October 2, 2024, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Vuhledar. The Russians captured five unarmed Ukrainian soldiers during the attack.
"They killed one of them in a forest, and four were taken to the road under the sights of automatic weapons, where they were also shot," the report says.
The Prosecutor's Office has started an investigation on the fact of committing a war crime. As noted by the Prosecutor General's Office, the execution of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a grave international crime.
As a reminder, Russian soldiers shot a woman who was simply walking down the street in the village of Terny, in the Donetsk region. As a result of the received injuries, the local resident died.
Russian troops shot at least two unarmed Ukrainian prisoners of war at close range. This happened in the Kursk region.
