Evening speech of Zelenskyy on October 18
At the end of the 968th day of the full-scale war with Russia, Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to Ukrainians and spoke about the results of work in Europe.
"We are working on the results of our negotiations. These are meetings in Europe and conversations with partners. There was a conversation with the President Biden. And we are preparing for meetings in Ukraine with the American team: political and military representatives. Previously, our representatives — the Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Prime Minister Stefanishyna — were in Washington. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Umerov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sybiga, and Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi are working with their colleagues in Europe. We are developing our Victory Plan during communication with partners," the President of Ukraine said.
Preparation for the second Peace Summit is also underway. As Zelenskyy noted, Ukraine needs the end of the war that will guarantee security and peace for all Ukrainians.
The Head of State also noted important moments that have already taken place in Kyiv:
• the report of Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi on the Kursk operation;
• a meeting on the work of Ukrzaliznytsia;
• the report of Deputy Prime Minister Fedorov.
As explained by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the USA will provide Ukraine with new aid packages worth $500-700 million every 2-3 weeks. This will allow us to strengthen our state over the next few months.
