Vile escalation — Zelenskyy reacts to the attack on Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the morning's massive shelling. The Air Force Commander, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Energy reported to the head of state on the consequences of the Russian strike.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy via Telegram on Thursday, November 28.
Consequences of the massive shelling of Ukraine on November 28
According to the President, the Russian military targeted the Ukrainian energy sector. In total, Russia launched about 100 attack drones and more than 90 missiles of various types.
"In several regions, strikes with cluster munitions were recorded, and they targeted civilian infrastructure. These cluster munitions make it much more difficult for our rescuers and power engineers to eliminate the consequences of the strike, and this is a very despicable escalation of Russian terrorist tactics," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
According to him, the necessary forces have been deployed in all areas where it is needed. Power engineers and other services are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
"Points of invincibility have been deployed. I am grateful to everyone who is helping and doing their job to restore power supply," the President said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that air defense systems should be in Ukraine now, where they save lives, and not at storage bases. This is especially important in winter, when Russia is trying to destroy Ukrainian infrastructure.
On November 28, the Russians launched a powerful missile and drone attack on the territory of Ukraine. Enemy aircraft were flying over most regions of our country.
Russian troops launched a combined missile and drone strike on Kyiv at night and in the morning of November 28. Debris was seen falling in two districts of the capital.
