The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Yusov reported that almost 60 prisoner exchanges happened during the full-scale war. In total, four thousand Ukrainian prisoners returned home.

Yusov stated this, answering the question of Novyny.LIVE correspondent Halyna Ostapovets on Friday, November 22.

Return of Ukrainian prisoners of war

At the same time, Yusov noted that thousands of Ukrainians are still in captivity. Among them are both military and civilians.

Yusov also emphasized that it is necessary to fight for the liberation of all Ukrainian prisoners.

"These are just prisoners of war, hostages. These are medieval practices that should have become a thing of the past forever. But, unfortunately, this is not the case. There is a massive nature of repression (by the Russians against Ukrainians in captivity. — Ed.). This is part of the genocidal practice," Yusov explained.

Previously, the head of the MID Budanov answered how many ballistic missiles "Kedr" the Russian Federation has in its arsenal.

Budanov is also convinced that Ukrainians should know their history and be proud of it. He emphasized that it is also necessary to accept its difficult periods and events.
