Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine Andriy Yusov reported that the Russians do not allow captured Ukrainian soldiers to write letters in Ukrainian. He called such actions a genocide.

Yusov stated this in response to a question from a correspondent of Novyny.LIVE Halyna Ostapovets on Friday, November 22.

Pressure on Ukrainian prisoners of war

At a forum dedicated to the anniversary of the Russian-Ukrainian war and on the eve of the Day of Remembrance of the Holodomor victims, Yusov reported that the right of protection under the Geneva Conventions is not applied to the Ukrainian prisoners of war.

"If this is not genocide, then what is? When someone in the world at the level of state experts says today: "Let's be neutral and stop shooting," this is a conscious justification of genocide and war crimes of the Russian Federation," Yusov noted.

He emphasized that such a position puts defenders and aggressors on the same level.

Previously, the head of the MID, Budanov answered how many ballistic missiles "Kedr" the Russian Federation has in its arsenal.

Budanov is also convinced that Ukrainians should know their history and be proud of it. He emphasized that it is also necessary to accept its difficult periods and events.
