The UK has decided on sanctions against the Russian shadow tanker fleet. Such decisions reduce the possibility of Russia waging war against Ukraine.

This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday, November 25.

Evening speech of the President

Zelenskyy announced the completion of work at the sites of Russian missiles hit on November 25. According to preliminary information, 25 people were injured in Kharkiv as a result of an S-400 strike. It is also known that 11 people were injured in Odesa after an attack of SS-26 Stone.

"All those who suffered were provided with the necessary assistance. And I am grateful to everyone who helps. We will definitely respond to Russia for everything it does. And it is important that such strikes, each of them, do not remain without an appropriate response, not only ours," the Head of State emphasized.

He added that the UK has decided on sanctions against the Russian shadow tanker fleet.

"Thirty tankers have been sanctioned. This is an important step. And it would be right for European partners – at the level of the entire EU – as well as other partners to support such sanctions. The less Russian oil profits, the less opportunity Russia will have to wage war," the President emphasized.

Zelenskyy shared that on November 25, several meetings were held on international work until the end of this year. According to him, on that day, there was also a long conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi regarding all key parts of the front line and the Kursk operation.

As a reminder, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the State Defense Committee – the main topic was energy and its protection.

Previously, we wrote that the United Kingdom will introduce the largest package of sanctions against the Russian shadow fleet. It includes 30 vessels that violate restrictions on oil supplies.
