The President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Managing Director for Operations of the World Bank Anna Bjerde. The Head of State thanked for the support provided to Ukraine by the World Bank.

Zelenskyy reported on the details of the meeting on Wednesday, November 20.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the consolidation of financial assistance and the support program for Ukraine.

"The World Bank, your team has been helping us since the very beginning of the Russian invasion, and we truly value our relations," the President said.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine hopes to continue cooperation with the World Bank both now and after the end of the war to rebuild the country.

The Head of State noted the importance of creating a Financial Intermediary Fund (FIF), which will help the G7 countries provide Ukraine with additional financing. He also expressed hope for the earliest possible completion of all formal procedures.

Previously, Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. During the conversation, the parties discussed key issues of defense cooperation, support for Ukraine on the international stage, and Poland's future EU Council Presidency.

It should be recalled, that recently, the US President Joe Biden announced the provision of a new aid package to Ukraine.
