On November 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. They discussed Russia's massive combined attack on Ukrainian cities.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this via his Telegram channel.

Zelensky and Starmer's conversation

Zelenskyy said that during the conversation with Starmer, they discussed another act of Russian air terror against Ukraine's civilian infrastructure. According to the President, the occupiers used more than 90 missiles and almost 100 drones. Special attention was also paid to the issue of further defense cooperation.

"I am grateful to the UK for the large-scale support, in particular for the willingness to allocate at least 3 billion pounds annually for the needs of Ukraine," the Head of State noted.

In addition, the politicians agreed to stay in close contact with European leaders on steps to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position to face any developments. Zelenskyy emphasized that for this, Ukraine needs an invitation to join NATO and further build up its long-range capabilities.

"We also discussed Ukraine's possible participation in next month's Joint Expeditionary Force summit in Tallinn, to which we are invited by Estonia. This year, Ukraine was the only country to participate as an observer in the JEF Joint Protector 2024 exercise. We are interested in deepening cooperation with this organization",  the statement said.

At the same time, the leaders agreed to accelerate the preparation of an agreement on a centennial partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the morning massive shelling. He received reports from the Air Force Commander, the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Energy.

As you know, enemy aircraft were flying over most regions of our country.
