Due to the Russian attacks, Centrenergo lost more than 2.5 GW of capacity and most of its equipment. As of now, the operator's losses have reached €250 million.

Consequences of attacks on Ukraine's energy system
"Due to the Russian attacks, Centrenergo lost more than 2.5 GW of capacity and most of its equipment. As a result, the destroyed Soviet mechanisms are no longer being produced, so donor stations and units are being used to restore the power system," the statement said.
According to Harkavyi, the operator's losses are currently up to €250 million, and this figure is not final.
Recently, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal explained how Ukraine has prepared the energy sector for the winter. According to him, the situation is currently under control, all necessary repairs have been made and protection has been built.
Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center, also named two scenarios under which the power may be cut off in winter.
