Ukraine has successfully scaled up the serial production of advanced "Neptune" missiles, designed to hit targets at long distances. New drone missiles, in particular "Palyanytsia", are also being developed.

This was announced by the Ukrainian Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov on Monday, November 18.

Umerov spoke about the Ukrainian missile program

The Minister of Defense met with Ukrainian missile manufacturers — they discussed plans for 2025, key areas of cooperation and development of the industry.

"On April 13, 2022, the "Neptune" missile complex destroyed the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet — the cruiser "Moscow". This became a historic moment and demonstrated the power of our national missile weapons," Umerov recalled.

Today, Ukraine is increasing its own missile production — the first 100 units have already been manufactured this year.

"The serial production of the R-360 "Neptune" cruise missiles with improvements to hit targets at longer distances has been successfully scaled up," the minister noted.

New drone missiles are also being developed, in particular "Palyanytsia", which is "an example of successful cooperation between the state and the private sector".

It should be reminded that, as stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian army has become one of the most powerful in the world, and in terms of technological development, the Ukrainian troops have become the strongest in Europe. Currently, the state is working on the production of its own weapons, including missiles.

Previously, Novyny.LIVE wrote that at the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine needs a sufficient number of weapons.
