According to Umerov, these were only "small skirmishes", and not a coordinated clash involving all forces.

The Minister of Defense noted that North Korean soldiers disguise themselves as Buryats and mix with Russian soldiers. In this regard, it is necessary to identify the victims and prisoners of war in order to determine the exact number.

Umerov emphasized that in general, the Russians plan to deploy five divisions of North Korean troops on the front line with a length of about 1,500 kilometers, with three thousand people each. According to the minister, they will be deployed in the northeast, east and southeast of Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the number of North Korean troops in the Kursk region of Russia is about 11 thousand people.

Previously, Russia will pay the DPRK soldiers who will take part in the war against Ukraine, $2 thousand per month.
