Germany's far-right party proposes to deport migrants
The right-wing party "Alternative for Germany" (AfD) presented an election manifesto with a number of radical proposals at a conference in the Saxon city of Riese. The main points of the document include closing the borders, deporting migrants, abandoning the euro, lifting sanctions against Russia and resuming purchases of Russian gas.
This was reported by BBC.
German party proposes to expel migrants and resume cooperation with Russia
The party has proposed to introduce the concept of "remigration", which means a massive return of migrants, including foreign residents and citizens with "unassimilated" origin. The party leader, Alice Weidel, stated the need to withdraw from the EU asylum system, as well as to close the borders and return all illegal migrants within the first 100 days of the party's stay in power.
"And I will be frank with you: if it is called remigration, then it will be remigration", the official said.
In addition, the party "Alternative for Germany" plans to abandon the Paris Climate Agreement, as well as to eliminate wind farms, which it called a "mill of shame". The party also plans to abolish gender studies. In the long run, the party proposes to return to the national currency and withdraw from the European Union.
How the party "Alternative for Germany" sees assistance to Ukraine in confronting Russia
With regard to the war in Ukraine, the manifesto is virtually devoid of criticism of Russia. The party proposes a neutral status for Ukraine without membership in NATO and the EU, the abolition of sanctions against Moscow and a ban on the deployment of American intermediate-range missiles in Germany.
One of the party's founders, Albrecht Glaser, proposed to condemn Russian aggression, but this proposal was rejected by the majority of the conference participants.
In addition, party leader Alice Weidel said she wants to return the Nord Stream pipeline to operation and resume purchases of Russian gas.
"We will return the Nord Stream to operation, you can count on it", said the leader of Alternative for Germany.
Recently, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and told what the essence of the conversation was.
Ukraine has also received a new aid package from Germany, which includes heavy armored vehicles and ammunition.
