Ukraine signs 100-year partnership agreement with Britain

Today, Ukraine and the United Kingdom signed a 100-year partnership agreement. It provides for strengthening cooperation in all areas.

This was reported by Novyny.LIVE journalist Halyna Ostapovets on Thursday, January 16.

Agreement on 100-year partnership

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Keir Starmer signed a document on the 100-year partnership between Ukraine and the UK. Both leaders called it a historic day. The cooperation agreement provides for:

  • development of military cooperation, in particular in maritime security in the Baltic, Black and Azov Seas;
  • joint work of experts in the fields of agricultural technology, space, drones, and healthcare;
  • launching a British verification scheme to track stolen grain from the occupied territories;
  • strengthening partnerships in energy, mining, and green steel production.

As a reminder, Keir Starmer arrived in Kyiv today on a working visit. The visit of the British Prime Minister is aimed at improving relations and cooperation between Ukraine and the UK.

Keir Starmer and Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid tribute to the fallen Ukrainian military together. In honor of the defenders, they laid flowers at the Wall of Memory of the Fallen Heroes.
