South Korea provided financial assistance
South Korea has provided Ukraine with $100 million. Also, according to Shmyhal, this year the two governments signed an agreement that allows them to attract up to $2.1 billion.
"This is the first budgetary assistance from our Korean partners that will be aimed at supporting the social sector," Shmyhal said in a statement.
The head of the Ukrainian government also thanked the Republic of Korea for supporting Ukraine during the full-scale war.
Earlier, we reported that Ukraine wanted to buy weapons from South Korea. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov visited the country with this issue, but Ukraine was refused.
South Koreans are against direct arms supplies to Ukraine. Seoul has emphasized that it is ready to consider this possibility depending on the future steps of Russia and North Korea.
