A passenger plane crashed near Aktau airport in Kazakhstan on December 25. It was flying from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Grozny, Russia.

This is what the Kazakhstan media reported.

As you know, the plane of Azerbaijan Airlines, Az Airlines, crashed. It happened near the city of Aktau when the plane was flying from Baku to Grozny.

The media reported that the preliminary cause of the tragedy was a collision with birds. A rescue helicopter, 52 rescuers and 11 pieces of special equipment arrived at the accident site.

It is noted that there were 67 passengers and five crew members on board. According to Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova, 12 people survived the crash.

"From the crash site, 12 people (one of them a child) with various injuries were taken to the Mangistau Regional Hospital in Aktau. 14 ambulance crews are working at the scene," the minister said.

A few days ago, a medical helicopter crashed into a hospital building in Turkey. As a result of this plane crash, there were victims.

In late November, a Boeing 737 cargo plane crashed in Vilnius. It resulted in injuries and a death.
