Drones strike Kaluga and Kursk — Oil depot burns down

On the night of November 25, explosions occurred in the Russian cities of Kaluga and Kursk. It is known that in the first city, unknown drones attacked an oil depot and the Typhoon plant.

What is known

Around 1 a.m., reports began to appear in variouschannels that a large fire had broken out in the city of Kaluga. According to preliminary reports, a tank at one of the oil depots was on fire. Shortly before the fire, locals claimed that a drone attack was carried out and an explosion was heard. The channels also published relevant videos.

Later, the head of the Kaluga region, Vladimir Shapsha, said that three drones had allegedly been destroyed by air defense forces on the outskirts of Kaluga. At the same time, he confirmed that a fire broke out at the site of the UAV wreckage on the territory of an industrial enterprise. Shapsha added that the Ministry of Emergency Situations and an operational team are working at the site.

A little later, some Telegram channels began to write that in addition to the refinery, the Kaluga Typhoon Instrumentation Plant was also attacked by drones.

At the same time, videos were posted on social media, showing powerful sounds of explosions in the city of Kursk. However, it is not yet known whether they were real.

Yesterday it was reported that on November 22, drones attacked a Rosneft oil depot. The incident also took place in the city of Kaluga. Several tanks were damaged in the attack. There were reportedly no casualties.
