Trump declared that Ukraine cannot be a member of NATO
The newly elected President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has said that Ukraine cannot be a member of NATO. According to him, the West understands that.
Donald Trump said that during the press conference at his residence in Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday, January 7.
Ukraine in NATO
"The West understands that Ukraine cannot be in NATO, and I support that as well," Trump declared.
According to Trump, there was an agreement between Moscow and Kyiv earlier, which was later violated by Joe Biden’s statement about the Alliance.
"They had an agreement that would have been satisfactory for Ukraine and everybody else," Trump stated.
As a reminder, investigative journalist Khristo Grozev suggested that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin might agree to Ukraine’s accession to NATO if the conditions are met.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow was dissatisfied with the proposals of Trump’s team to postpone Ukraine’s accession to NATO for 20 years.
