The newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, claimed that he would impose severe restrictions on immigration on his first day in office. He reiterated his promise to launch the largest deportation in US history.

It was reported by Reuters.

Trump wants to carry out the largest deportation in US history

During his address to the packed Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., the day before his inauguration, Trump said he would keep his campaign promise and plan to launch the largest deportation in US history. According to him, it would involve millions of immigrants.

"By sunset tomorrow, the invasion of our country would end," Trump emphasized.

He added that on his first day in office, he would act with "historic speed and strength" and resolve every crisis the US faces.

The article notes that the deportation plans of the new President have raised concerns among immigrants who are subject to deportation, including those who, according to immigrant rights advocates, are law-abiding, long-term residents with spouses and children.

As a reminder, Trump’s inauguration will take place on January 20 at 19:00 Kyiv time. The ceremony will start with a service at St John’s Church in Lafayette Square in Washington, D.C., and end with three balls.

We also wrote that the bookies estimated whether Trump would end the war in Ukraine in 90 days. Recently, this probability has significantly decreased.
