The United States has sent $3.4 billion of additional financial assistance to Ukraine. This was the last payment from the country in 2024.

Financial assistance
According to US Secretary of Treasury Janet Yellen, $3.4 billion of aid was provided in coordination with the US Agency for International Development and the State Department. At the same time, this is the last payment under the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2024.
Thus, the total US financial assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion has reached more than $30 billion. Most of these funds are directed to paying salaries to teachers and other civil servants.
Yellen noted that the assistance depends on reforms aimed at strengthening law enforcement agencies, increasing transparency and efficiency of state institutions, as well as combating corruption in Ukraine.
It should be recalled that today the United States also allocated additional financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $15 billion, which will come from frozen Russian assets.
In addition, on December 25, Ukraine received 150 million euros from the EU, which will be used to feed children in schools.
