Will gas reserves of Ukraine be enough for the winter — Shmyhal
Gas reserves in Ukraine will allow to meet the needs of the population during this winter. Only Ukrainian gas will be used for the heating season.
Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal reported this via Telegram on Tuesday, November 5.
What is the situation with the heating season this year
Shmyhal stated that Ukraine has enough of its own energy resources for this winter. According to the Prime Minister, the gas reserves located in underground storage facilities should be enough for household consumers, district heating companies and budget institutions.
"At the same time, when forming reserves, we also took into account the needs for the operation of gas plants of decentralized generation," the minister noted.
He emphasized that this year will be the second heating season when Ukraine will use only its own gas.
As a reminder, the connection of residential buildings to heat began in Kyiv since October 30.
Previously, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted a law on punishment for storing large amounts of wood without documents.
In particular, this will apply to those who have firewood at home worth more than 30 thousand hryvnias. Ukrainians need to buy official firewood to avoid a fine or prison.
