NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte called on partners to help Ukraine fight Russia. According to him, in the event of Ukraine's defeat, the restoration of the Alliance will cost more than the increase in support costs.

Mark Rutte said this during the Ukrainian Breakfast at the World Economic Forum in Davos, a Novyny.LIVE correspondent reports.

What will happen to NATO if Ukraine is defeated

"If Ukraine loses, rebuilding NATO will cost much more than increasing our defense spending," Mark Rutte emphasized.

The Secretary General reiterated the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that the main thing for Ukraine's entry into the negotiations is a guarantee of sustainable peace and that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will not return.

As a reminder, on January 23, the Ukrainian Breakfast began in Davos. This traditional event is held during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.

During the event, Poland's President Andrzej Duda said that the war in Ukraine is "not a local conflict" but a problem that needs to be solved.
