Russia announced the transfer of bodies from the IL-76
Russia announced that it had transferred the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers who died in the crash of IL-76 plane. Ukraine stated that they require additional identification.
This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets via Telegram on Monday, December 9.

The Coordination Headquarters stated that during the latest repatriation measures, the remains of the deceased were transferred to Ukraine from Russia, which require additional identification.
"As of now, expert institutions are establishing within the criminal proceedings whether the remains of these people really belong to Ukrainian soldiers," the message says.
Lubinets noted that he is currently in cooperation with all competent services on this issue.
As a reminder, Lubinets reported that positive news regarding the return of Ukrainians from captivity is possible by the end of the year.
