Putin speaks about the war in Ukraine

Putin commented on the war in Ukraine during a speech on a direct line combined with a large annual press conference. During the speech, he called the war in Ukraine a "buzz".

"When everything is stable, it feels boring, stagnant — you crave some action. But when the action begins, bullets start whizzing past your head, whistling by your temple. It’s terrifying, a nightmare—but not "quite" a nightmare," said the dictator.

He also commented on the situation in the Kursk region. The dictator said that Russian troops "will definitely drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Kursk region", but refused to name a specific date.

As a reminder, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin called Oreshnik an alternative to nuclear weapons. He also said that Russia is not strengthening but improving its combat doctrine.

Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin supports Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's efforts to reach a "Christmas truce" in Ukraine. He also allegedly does not reject a large-scale exchange of prisoners of war.
