President of Georgia reacts to sanctions imposed by Zelenskyy

The President of Georgia has responded to Ukraine's sanctions against part of the Georgian government. We are talking about politicians who cooperate with Russia.

Salome Zurabishvili wrote about this on the social network X on Thursday, December 5.

Georgian President's reaction to sanctions

Salome Zurabishvili commented on the post by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the imposition of sanctions against Ivanishvili and his associates. These are politicians who support the Kremlin's policy.

"I could not say it better. Thank you, Volodymyr!" the Georgian president wrote.

She also added that Russia is trying to regain control of the Black Sea. In total, 19 people were subject to the restrictions imposed by Ukraine.

On the night of December 5, for the first time in a week of mass protests, no clashes with police or violent dispersal of demonstrations were recorded in the Georgian capital. However, some of the demonstrators were still detained.

Many athletes expressed support for the rallies taking place in Georgia. People are opposed to the government's decision to suspend negotiations on joining the European Union until 2028.
