South Korean authorities may provide military assistance to Ukraine. This issue is currently under consideration.

This was stated by South Korean President Yoon Suk-yol at a press conference in Seoul, Le Monde reports.

Weapons for Ukraine

The President of South Korea said that the country is "planning direct supplies" of weapons to Kyiv. This message came amid reports that DPRK soldiers are preparing to fight in Ukraine.

"Now, depending on the level of North Korea's participation (in the war — Ed.), we will gradually adjust our support strategy in several stages. This means that we do not rule out the possibility of supplying weapons," said Yoon Suk-yol.

He emphasized that the transfer of defensive weapons would be considered first.

"If we continue to provide arms support, we will prioritize defensive weapons in the first place," the South Korean leader said.

As a reminder, South Korea has stated that DPRK troops have not yet participated in hostilities against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At the same time, the United States has confirmed a military clash between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and DPRK soldiers. It happened in the Kursk region.
