Billionaire Elon Musk has been summoned to a court hearing in Philadelphia. The reason is the giving one million dollars a day to a random voter for signing a petition.

This was reported by Reuters on Thursday, October 31.

"All parties must be present during the hearing," the judge noted in an order of the Philadelphia District Court.

The hearing in this case was postponed from Friday to Thursday morning local time.

A representative of the pro-Trump America PAC committee did not respond to a request for comment. Musk's representatives also did not provide any information.

It should be recalled that Musk decided to organize a lottery among Republicans, planning to pay one million dollars a day to a random signer of his petition on freedom of speech and the right to own weapons.

NASA Administrator and Democratic U.S. Senator Bill Nelson also called for an investigation into possible ties between Musk and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
