How much did Trump's victory add to billionaires' wealth?
Donald Trump 's victory in the U.S. presidential election resulted in a record increase in the wealth of the world's ten richest people. The total increase in wealth reached $63.5 billion.
This was reported by Bloomberg on Thursday, November 7.
Trump's victory brought an increase in wealth to US billionaires
Trump's election victory led to an increase in the wealth of the richest people in the United States. According to the publication, the wealth of billionaires increased by $63.5 billion, which is a record of enrichment since 2012.
It is reported that Musk alone added $26.5 billion to his capital. Thus, he remains the richest man in the world with a net worth of $290 billion.
Jeff Bezos is also among the leaders — the capital of the Amazon founder increased by $7.14 billion and now amounts to $228 billion.
Larry Ellison, the chairman and founder of Oracle Corporation, gained $9.88 billion, and now his net worth is $193 billion.
"Much of the super-rich's gains are attributable to a sharp rise in US stocks, underscoring bets that Trump, once back in the White House, will implement a program aimed at cutting taxes and reducing regulation," the report said.
It is noted that only one of the ten richest people in the world lives outside the United States — the chairman of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, Bernard Arnault, with a total of $173.2 billion.
As a reminder, Donald Trump, who won the U.S. presidential election in 2024, called billionaire Elon Musk a "super genius" and noted his importance to the country.
Recently, Elon Musk said that Tesla has no plans to develop its own smartphone, but such a product may appear on the market if Apple and Google put pressure on the company in this sector.
