The collapse of the Assad family

According to the newspaper, Asma Asad asked for a divorce in order to go to London because she was dissatisfied with the conditions in Moscow. To do this, the woman went to the Russian courts and asked for special permission to leave Moscow. Asma herself was born in London in 1975. At the age of 25, she moved to Syria and married Bashar al-Assad.

However, as the publication notes, the application is still being considered. Although Russia accepted Bashar al-Assad's asylum application, serious restrictions were imposed on him. Assad was strictly forbidden to leave Moscow and conduct any political activity. In addition, the Russian authorities froze Bashar al-Assad's access to assets and financial resources.

As a reminder, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russia had achieved its goals in Syria. Russia's main goal was allegedly to prevent terrorist formations.

Mohammed al-Bashir has been appointed interim prime minister of Syria, a position he will hold until March 1, 2025.
