On January 22, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog. They discussed important issues of Ukrainian-Israeli cooperation.

Meeting between Zelenskyy and Herzog

During the meeting, President Zelenskyy emphasized the critical importance of securing the release of hostages. He highlighted that Ukrainians deeply understand the pain of having loved ones in captivity and rejoice collectively when someone is freed and reunited with their family.

President Zelenskyy also expressed optimism for enhanced security and stability across the Middle East.

The two leaders discussed shared challenges facing their nations and identified key areas for further collaboration, particularly in security. Their talks centered on strategies to achieve a just and lasting peace.

As a reminder, on January 22, Zelenskyy also met with the head of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, Friedrich Merz. They agreed to jointly counteract Russia.
