Weapon production and sanctions against state traitors — Zelenskyy's evening speech

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with State Defense Committee on Tuesday, October 8. The main aspects included weapon production in Ukraine, supply from our international partners and procurement of shells and hardware around the world.

The President noted that drones for the army are among the identified priorities. It is necessary to ensure a constant increase in the volume of supplies, as well as to adapt them in accordance with the requirements arising in the process of waging war.

"Another fundamental direction is EW, and here the private sector, Ukrainian entrepreneurs are already significantly helping Ukraine, and there may be much more. We will also attract additional investments from partners, and in particular, there will be some work this week," the President stated.

He added that special attention was paid to the state missile program. Zelenskyy emphasized that for all its components and achievements, it is necessary to increase combat use both at the front line and on the territory of Russia. A quick result is expected, and all relevant tasks are currently in progress.

In addition, President Zelenskyy announced the introduction of two new packages of sanctions against people who betrayed Ukraine, as well as against those involved in military production in the Russian Federation.

It should be recalled that on October 7, Zelenskyy awarded the defenders with state awards. He emphasized that the country is proud of its heroes.

In addition, on October 6, Zelenskyy congratulated all teachers and educators on the Day of Education Workers. The head of state emphasized the importance of their work in educating future generations.
