Russian invaders are preparing for an offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region. At the same time, there is currently no threat to the city of Zaporizhzhia itself, as the enemy does not have enough forces for an operation of this scale.

This was written by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrii Kovalenko, on Tuesday, December 3.

Russian offensive on Zaporizhzhia

"As I mentioned earlier, when we talk about the Zaporizhzhia direction and the enemy's preparations there, it's important not to confuse the Zaporizhzhia region with the city of Zaporizhzhia," explained Kovalenko.

He added that the occupiers do indeed intend to take certain actions in the Zaporizhzhia region. The defense forces are also ready for this. However, according to Kovalenko, the enemy currently lacks the strength for an offensive on the city of Zaporizhzhia itself.

"This is on a completely different scale in terms of resources and manpower than what the enemy currently has," noted the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.

Kovalenko also criticized the rumors currently circulating on social media about a supposed upcoming Russian offensive on the city of Zaporizhzhia. He urged people to stop spreading false information. He added that such actions only benefit the Russians in the context of their information war against our country.

Earlier, we reported that the construction of fortifications near Zaporizhzhia is nearly complete. This multi-layered defense system is designed not only for the city but also for the nearby settlements to make the Zaporizhzhia region well-fortified.

We remind you that the Prosecutor’s Office has opened a criminal case regarding the shooting of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian invaders near Novodaryvka in Zaporizhzhia. In total, the enemy executed five Ukrainian defenders.
