A delegation of the House of Commons of Canada, headed by speaker Greg Fergus, visited Ukraine. Representatives of all political parties of the country arrived in Kyiv.

Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal announced this via Telegram on Monday, October 14.

The delegation assessed the progress of reforms in Ukraine

Shmyhal emphasized that Canada is an important partner for Ukraine, especially during wartime conditions.

"Canada is our greatest friend and partner. This is evident in all the steps the Canadian government and parliament took during the full-scale invasion, including the first sanctions against Russia and the confiscation of Russian assets," the statement said.

The Prime Minister also informed Canadian parliamentarians about the situation at the front line, in energy and finance.

"Canadian parliamentarians highly appreciated the progress of reforms in Ukraine," the head of government added.

Previously, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. In particular, they discussed military support.

We also wrote that Canada will finance the return of children to Ukraine. 10 million dollars was allocated for this.
