In the Kyiv region, the aftermath of a Russian drone attack continues, with damage to buildings and human casualties. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has responded to the Russian attack on Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy's reaction to the attack

"Rescue operations continued throughout the night in the Kyiv region after the Shahed attack. Residential buildings in Brovary and Hlevakha were damaged. Unfortunately, three people were killed. My condolences to their families and friends. There are wounded, and they are being provided with the necessary assistance. The rescue operation was completed at 9 a.m," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President thanked the rescue workers and the leaders of the countries supporting Ukraine. He also noted that it is necessary to increase pressure on Russia, which is still able to manufacture weapons and purchase necessary components in violation of sanctions.

"I am also grateful to every leader, every country that puts pressure on Russia to stop this unprovoked and terrorist war. In particular, there must be accountability for every component for the production of Shaheds and missiles supplied in violation of sanctions. Russia would not be able to fight at all if the ability of Russian accomplices to support this terror and attacks at the front were really limited," Zelenskyy commented.

In the morning of January 24, explosions were heard in the Lviv region. Later, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported on the consequences of the attack.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service of Kyiv region reported an increase in casualties as a result of the drone attack on January 24. A man and a woman were found dead under the rubble in Brovary, and a man was killed in Fastivskyi district.
